DISRUPTION to the ferry service between Cornwall and Plymouth is expected during a 12-week refurbishment, starting next week.
Work on the Torpoint Ferry crossings will be carried out in two phases with a break during the school summer holiday period.
Tamar Crossings said it expected “increased congestion” during the project to refurbish traffic light gantries, starting on June 17. The steel gantries contain the equipment and traffic lights used to control and monitor traffic into the queuing lanes and on to the ferry slipways on both the Torpoint and Devonport sides of the river.
