FOLLOWING a near two-week delay to the start of their season, Plymouth Gladiators are ready to get back on track and get their 2024 speedway season underway at old adversaries Poole Pirates tonight.
The club were forced to postponed their opening two meetings of the season due to their track not being ready after a winter of extensive track work and the prolonged rain has not allowed for it to dry out and settle. The hope is it will be ready for Saturday's match-up with Scunthorpe Scorpions at the Coliseum, though.
Before then, Garry May's men will have weather permitting - ridden twice with tonight's BSN Series clash along the south coast followed by a trip to Scunny for the first round first leg of the KO Cup on Friday.
