Gwenge's strike condemns Parkway to another defeat

This was the seventh encounter between the two sides since they first met in 2022. Parkway held a fine record of four wins, one draw and one defeat and hadn't conceded a goal in the last five encounters whilst scoring 12. However, the Magpies had strengthened, and attained some notable victories so far this season and a difficult night was anticipated.

The hosts began on the front foot and good interplay between Shaquille Gwengwe and Jack Dickson in the third minute led to the first shot by Olaf Konzsela who from 20 yards lifted the ball over the bar.

Two minutes later, a build up by the same pair in association with Marcus Daws saw a cross from Jordan Ngalo cut out by Rio Garside for the opening corner of the match. Little did Parkway know that the corner count for Dorchester would reach double figures in the first 20 minutes.

Parkway mustered their first effort on goal in the 12th minute when a good turn by Rio Garside beat the defender but his 25-yard shot was easily gathered by Gerard Benfield.
