ST MELLION LADIES
In this game, if any of the golfers are on the fairway with their tee shot, the other team members can advance their ball to the best position and then continue as normal.
If the tee shots are long and straight than the advantage gained particularly with the higher handicap players meant some great scores were recorded. One team managed to score 13 points on the Par 3 14th after only one of the players hit the short grass! A total of £230 was raised for the charities and the winners were Glennis Wootton, Pam Hughes, Don Smith and Nigel Coulson-Stevens with 144 points, with runners-up Louisa McCartney, Sue Wenmoth, Ian Edwards and John Clements, who also scored 144 points.
Sam Peach, Sally Floyd, Norman Wreford and Alvin Edney wwere third with 143 points; Karen Cook, Dee Peake, Brian Crichton and Stan Serwata fourth on 139 points and Karen Ford, Jenny Glover, Ron Edwards and Albert Gunning fifth with 124 points.
