JO CLARKE TAKES A LOOK AT JUST A FEW OF THE 20,000-PLUS IMAGES AT THE BOX
The Herald|January 07, 2025
The top-left image was taken on December 31, 1958, and shows a group of children in a playground on Pembroke Street - maybe meeting up with their friends before the year comes to an end, or taking a turn on the bicycles they were given for Christmas?
writes Jo Clarke

The top-right image was taken around May 1941 and shows the damage caused to the Forum Cinema, on Fore Street, during an air raid.

Bottom left is a 1972 scene showing a number of cars parked in front of shops such as Saccone and Speed wine and spirit merchants, Woolworths, and Maypole, on Marlborough Street.
