Knight missed the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham where England finished a disappointing fourth and then had an operation to repair torn tissue and damaged cartilage, and remove a piece of bone in her right hip joint. The 31-year-old then missed India's tour of England, the Hundred and the current WBB - but is ready to fly to the Caribbean for three ODIS, starting on December 4, followed by five T20Is.
Nat Sciver, Katherine Brunt and Lauren Winfield-Hill have also been recalled to the T20I squad after spending the best part of a year out of national colours. It is the first squad new head coach Jon Lewis has selected after he took over from Lisa Keightley.
"It's great to have Heather, Nat and Katherine back in the group," Lewis said. "The quality and experience they bring can only add huge value both on and off the field. We will manage Katherine back into competitive cricket with an eye on the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in February.
