lan moves from Science Park to ocean protection

THE Ocean Conservation Trust (OCT) has announced the appointment of Ian McFadzen as its new Chief Executive Officer, moving to the new role after a successful sevenyear tenure at the Plymouth Science Park (PSP).

Ian will continue in his current role at PSP until November this year, with a new leader being appointed in due course.

Ian explains: "It's a real privilege and honour to join the Ocean Conservation Trust as CEO. Its mission is to protect the ocean by instilling optimism, inspiring people through habitat restoration and research, and through visits to the fantastic facilities at the National Marine Aquarium.

"The Trust is a leading institution that helps raise awareness of the importance of our ocean. Through the power of partnership and building on the amazing stewardship of Roger Maslin I will strive to continue to create an open and collaborative organisation, working to sustain the planet's most valuable ecosystem.
