Magical fun for all ages

A TOWN where all of the adults disappear overnight, and then eyes start to appear under the children's beds, sounds like it could be terrifying - but, in the new musical at Theatre Royal Plymouth, it is just the starting point for a magical adventure which will appeal to all ages.

Based on a children's book by McFly pop star Tom Fletcher and developed by Cornwall-based imPOSSIBLE Producing, The Creakers is the latest show to be unveiled by TRP.

Combining a fantasy underworld storyline, catchy tunes and an underlying environmental message, it is playing through the half-term school holidays, and is clearly aimed at luring in a new generation of theatre visitors.

Fletcher's whimsical world of Whiffington acts as the backdrop to the tale, filled with a range of grownup characters all wearing brightlycoloured costumes apart from Larry the binman.
