Marathon festivals up and running
The Herald|February 16, 2024
THE company which now runs Plymouth’s half marathon has come to the rescue of another popular South West running event.
Marathon festivals up and running

Taurus Events, which organises Britain’s Ocean City Running Festival in Plymouth, will take over the delivery of the Torbay Half Marathon, with the support and guidance of Torbay Athletic Club, which has developed the English Riviera half marathon since 1992.

The Torbay event is due to be staged on Sunday, September 29 and will feature a route taking in some of the spectacular coastline of the English Riviera in South Devon.

It will come later in the year than Britain’s Ocean Running Festival which takes place in Plymouth on April 28 and which offers 5k and 10k races, as well as the half marathon distance.
