A PLYMOUTH MP who has been calling on the Ministry of Defence to provide financial support to Keyham residents whose homes and gardens were severely damaged following the discovery of a 500kg World War Two bomb said he is frustrated at the response.
Luke Pollard, Labour MP for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport, said he is now seeking an urgent meeting with Government ministers, after the Ministry of Defence confirmed it will not provide support.
After the bomb disposal, Mr Pollard said he spoke with Defence Minister Andrew Murrison MP to ask if the MoD has a policy of providing support for the repair of housing and gardens damaged during bomb disposal operations like the one in Keyham last month.
