WINNING individual awards is one thing but Bali Mumba has declared the bigger goal for him is to help Plymouth Argyle get promotion from League One and 'hopefully some silverware as well.
The 21-year-old insisted it was not by luck but by hard work that the Pilgrims are top of the table with three games to go, starting against Bristol Rovers at Home Park tonight (7.45pm).
Mumba was named as the League One Young Player-of-the-Season at the 2023 EFL Awards in London on Sunday night and also included in the divisional team-of-the-season.
However, his focus remains on trying to play his part in making sure Argyle are promoted, and ideally as champions.
Mumba said: "It would mean the world, it would mean everything. I feel obviously the fans deserve it, the gaffer (Steven Schumacher) and the staff deserve it, us the players we deserve it with the work we have put in this season.
