THE new vision for Armada Way has been called “ambitious and bold” by the organisation representing Plymouth city centre businesses.
Plymouth City Centre Company said the new proposals, which would see trees planted as part of a £12.7 million upgrade to the area, could attract investment and is now urging businesses to have their say on the proposals.
Steve Hughes, chief executive of Plymouth City Centre Company, said: “The new plans for Armada Way have been revealed and are as ambitious and bold as we could have hoped for. The City Centre Company has long been urging Plymouth City Council to transform the look and feel of Armada Way for the sake of its businesses and to attract future investment.
“The plans, which are now open for consultation, live up to those expectations with a commitment to ‘recapture the scale and grandeur of Armada Way’ by creating what will surely become one of the finest urban parks in the UK.
