There were four changes to the starting line-up from the Winchester game, with Matt Wright, Sam Joce, Corey Koerner and Callum Hall starting in place of Callum Rose, Rio Garside and the unavailable Exter City loanee duo of Tom Dean and Mitch Beardmore.

Played on a difficult surface, the game got off to a cagey start, with both sides looking to get a foothold in the game, with few chances of note, with both sides looking to play long balls into the channels but with the defences remaining on top.

Both sides were also guilty of conceding possession in the midfield areas too often, resulting in play being scrappy and lacking too much quality.

Play continued to switch from end to end with neither side able to exert too much control as the half progressed.

On 20 minutes, a neat exchange on Parkway’s left between Mikey Williams and Carlo Garside drew a foul and from the resultant free kick, some 25 yards out, the visitor’s Dylan Jones hit his shot straight at Flachra Pagel in the home goal for a comfortable save.
