Parkway hope lack of action will not break momentum

IT feels like forever since Plymouth Parkway were last in action, but the Yellows are back on the grass tomorrow with a return to Southern League Premier Division action at Sholing.

Parkway hope lack of action will not break momentum

Since drawing 2-2 at Swindon Supermarine on November 16, Chris McPhee's side have played just once a goalless draw at Gosport Borough two weeks ago. But while Parkway have been inactive, many of the teams in and around them - barring Devon rivals Tiverton Town have not managed to haul themselves clear of danger.

Parkway, who are third from bottom of the table, remain four points adrift of safety but are in pretty decent form right now. They have lost just once in the last six games in all competitions, which has helped breed confidence at Bolitho Park and even that defeat was to current table-toppers Merthyr Town.

However, it is wins and maximum points that they need right now and if there is a positive to take from the lack of action in recent weeks, it is that those players carrying knocks and niggles have had some time to overcome them and get themselves battle ready.
