PLANS to turn a nursery into a home for Devonport Dockyard workers to address the housing need within Plymouth have been proposed. The plans would see the nursery in Keyham converted into a house of multiple occupation.

For nearly 30 years, the Pelican Children's Centre on Saltash Road in Keyham provided local families with nursery services. Established in 1997 by a non-profit organisation, the centre offered care and education to children aged from two to five years.
