PLANS are due to be revealed this spring for a derelict Plymouth city centre plot where 2,000 bodies may be buried.
The owner of the 1½ acre plot, formerly the site of ITV studios at Derry's Cross, had explained that a new planning application for the plot is due to be submitted in the next three months.
The site, next to Plymouth Athenaeum and Saltwater Pace student flats, was tidied up in March 2023, ready for development. This month, however, planning permission was given to continue using part of the site for a car park for another two years.
Mark Borg, director of SLB Investments (Plymouth) Ltd, has told The Herald that designs are still being worked on. He said: "It has taken a little longer than expected, but we have been busy in the background working on various iterations of a suitable design. We are hoping to go public with details in March or April."
