PLYMOUTH poet Melisande Fitzsimons' new collection has been described as full of "gorgeous lyric poetry" and being 'jam-packed with intrigue! The Only Country in the World, published by Powys-based Aquifer Books, is Melisande's fourth collection - and third in English.
Melisande Fitzsimons is French, but is married to an Irishman and lives in Plymouth. She writes in both English and her mother tongue, being both a writer and translator.
With a cover by Plymouth photographer, artist and poet Ed Tapper, The Only Country in the World has been attracting plaudits on the city's literary scene.
