IT’S often said that running a pub is a tough job. Well, spare a thought for Plymouth’s Rebecca Fitsell – who is in charge of two.
Miss Fitsell has become landlady of The Drakes Drum, at Plymstock, and the Rising Sun, in Eggbuckland Road. And both are set for big changes including a new food offer.
The Drakes Drum reopened on August 5 after being shut for about five weeks, and the Rising Sun one week later. Miss Fitsell said: “I’m looking forward to growing business in both pubs.”
With a lifetime in the pub trade, Miss Fitsell will be using her experience to revitalise the two venues, and is promising to start serving food at both soon. Formerly in charge of the Cherry Tree, at Pennycross, Miss Fitsell said: “I have been in the industry for 30 years. I was brought up in it.
