MOTORISTS are being warned that congestion on the roads will only get worse if they choose to use their cars instead of public transport. Almost every morning, motorists are facing delays in the north of the city around Tavistock Road, as well as Outland Road and other parts of Plymouth.
Buses are often either delayed, canceled or re-routed as a result of the congestion. Part of the congestion has been caused by motorists changing their normal route to avoid roadworks.
City Fibre are upgrading broadband along Miller Way and Western Power working along Plymbridge Road, while Plymouth City Council is undertaking its own scheme at Morlaix Drive, a 300m stretch of single carriageway that links Brest Road with Derriford Hospital.
