Sam's proposal of marriage is revealed on TV

A PLYMOUTH man kept an incredible secret from his partner for a whole year, while planning the wedding proposal of a lifetime.

Unbeknown to his partner, Sam Bruty had applied to be on the E4 TV show Will You Marry Me in May 2023.

When Channel 4 bosses got back to him to say his application had been successful, the 35-yearold had to keep the secret completely to himself for over a year.

Gemma Horton, Sam's partner, (also aged 35), had no idea about the magical experience that Sam had planned which included liaising with a large film crew.

The couple have been together for 15 years and have two daughters but they hadn't got around to getting married - but now Sam's proposal is one that neither will ever forget.
