Schumacher explains reasons for changes

STEVEN Schumacher gave the carefully thought-out reasoning why he made six changes to his Plymouth Argyle side against Leicester City following the 4-0 defeat to the Championship leaders at King Power Stadium, writes Chris Errington.
Schumacher explains reasons for changes

The Pilgrims were well in the game at half-time, only trailing to a 14th minute penalty from Stephy Mavididi, but it all fell apart when the table-toppers scored three goals between the 49th and 55th minutes.

It was the second time this season Argyle had conceded more than three goals in a match, with the other occasion being their 4-1 defeat away to Bristol City in September, when Schumacher had made seven changes to his team.

The Pilgrims went to Leicester having won 2-1 against Stoke City at Home Park the previous Saturday but given the Premier League pedigree of the opposition and their strengths Schumacher decided to shake his side up.
