TEGAN GETS A TASTE OF FIRST TEAM FOOTBALL
- CHRIS ERRINGTON
SOME-FINN SPECIAL!

WHEN Tegan Finn was sent on as a second half substitute for Plymouth Argyle in their 3-0 Championship defeat at Leeds United, he became just the 15th player to make his debut for the club at the age of 16.

First-year apprentice Finn replaced Ryan Hardie in the 69th minute at Elland Road and that made Argyle's sixth youngest-ever player at the age of 16 years and 230 days.

The two players at the top of that list were both in Wayne Rooney's squad against Leeds. Freddie Issaka, whose debut came at the age of 15 years and 34 days in an EFL Trophy group game away to Newport County in August 2021, was an unused substitute for the Championship match in West Yorkshire.
