MATTY Sorinola has admitted he is still getting up to speed when it comes to his match fitness after joining Plymouth Argyle as a free agent in January.
Even so, the 23-year-old has impressed in his early appearances as a right wing-back, either in the starting line-up or as a substitute, and scored his first goal for the Pilgrims when he gave them an early lead in their 2-0 Championship victory over Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday.
Sorinola had not played any first-team football since last March - when he was on loan to Swansea City - prior to signing for Argyle a few weeks after his contract with Belgian Pro League side Union St Gilloise was cancelled by mutual consent.
The former Milton Keynes youngster has already played eight games for his new club and made his fourth start for the Pilgrims against Middles brough, before he was replaced in the 72nd minute by Joe Edwards as he started to tire.
