STAFF at Plymouth Community Homes have raised more than £7,000 after a year of charity events held in memory of a former colleague who died last year.
Workers teamed up with the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) after their colleague member Lisa Goodman succumbed to the disease.
Staff nominated the association as its Charity of the Year, and took part in events over 12 months which will be used to help people affected by the disease in the Plymouth area.
The fundraising was kickstarted with an initial £500 corporate donation in April 2023, and the fundraising efforts have been led by a team of 12 volunteer staff members who regularly attended charity steering group meetings to make plans for the different fundraising events.
