PLYMOUTH CITY SUPER LEAGUE
Stevenson’s seventeen ton plus tally included one of the three maximums that the St Budeaux outfit plundered on the night.
Andy Malinowski added one of those to his haul of thirteen three figure scores whilst the other three treble visit came from the arm of Col Maddocks.
Malinowski’s 80 combination finish was bettered twice in the match as Fred Lamerton fired a 92 for the defeated home side in a 3-1 singles success to take second best.
Malinowski’s teammate Matt Vosper heard ‘game shot’ after putting away 130 at the first time of asking to give him the best finish of the night, and of the game week across all fixtures played.
Star of the show for Steampacket with fourteen tons was Marc Webber, but that mammoth total couldn’t arrest his team’s slide to a 9-2 defeat at the hands of Indian Inn B.
Webber’s teammate Luke Johnson was the only recipient of a ‘180’ call after throwing whilst George Beckett was also prominent with eleven ton plusses.
Beckett however suffered a 3-2 reversal in the individuals as Dan Brazier got the better of him 3-2 despite Beckett checking a leg with a 75 finish.
Brazier ended his night on eleven tons also whilst teammate Paul Gavican’s 119 combination out shot gave him the highest finish of the game.
That Gavican effort pushed Scott Wapshott’s 80 kill into second best in a match that saw the Stoke village side finally start to play like they can after a difficult beginning to the season.
Indian Inn A’s 7-4 win over Bluebird B gave them their second win, and that success owed a lot to Harry Bull who produced thirteen ton plusses.
Danny Bull also showed glimpses of the form that earned him county honours with a checkout of 114 to go alongside a crucial 18 dart leg in a 3-2 individual win.
