Tavistock pull further clear of danger after a fourth straight win
The Herald
|March 24, 2025
TAVISTOCK manager Stuart Henderson hailed a complete team performance as his side racked up a fourth straight victory with a stunning 3-0 win at Bristol Manor Farm in Southern League Division One South.
Two goals in as many minutes by Tyler Elliott and Jack Crago put Tavi in dreamland and Crago's second in the second half completed the scoring.
Henderson's side are now up to 14th in the standings and with many other results going in their favour, there is a healthy five-point gap between them and the relegation zone after a magical March.
“I am delighted, it was a big away win for us," Henderson said. “We knew it was going to be tough, but we felt that we dealt with the physical assault really well.
“They were very direct, but we talked about that before the game and all credit to the lads, the rest of the management and staff. We had a game plan and it worked, obviously the chances came along and there were two great finishes to get us 2-0 up. “I wouldn't even say we had to weather the storm at the start of the second half because I didn't think they troubled us that much, we sat in and got the third goal, so happy days.
