DESPITE the Corsa-e being one of the best-selling small electric hatchbacks on the market, Vauxhall has strangely decided to change its name for this facelift, just in case you didn't get it.
So it's now the Corsa Electric Ultimate. It's electric, right? No dirty fuel involved. Good.
The new Ultimate is the top of the trim tree with GS beneath it and Design as the entry-level car.
Many will tell you - namely EVangelists that battery-powered cars cost little more than their petrol equivalents.
An argument that doesn't wash when talking about this one which costs a very hefty £38,585 - and that's without the optional £700 metallic paint on our test car.
The MG4 seriously undercuts the Corsa, the mechanically identical Peugeot e-208 is cheaper, and so is Chinese newcomer the GWM Funky Cat (although it's nowhere near as good a car as the Vauxhall).
This facelifted former Corsa-e now uses Vauxhall's 'Vizor' front end of which I am a great fan.
