FOUR kittens have been rescued after they were dumped in a field and left for dead in the heatwave.
Gables Dogs and Cats Home in Plymouth has since been caring for the tiny kittens after they were discovered frightened, severely dehydrated, and covered in fly eggs.
Residents near where they were found were horrified to learn of the discovery. The kittens were difficult to locate at first and searchers nearly gave up hope of finding them until a dog owner came to help with his exceptionally well-trained spaniel, who located the kittens after only a few minutes of searching.
