Tom Superstar takes silver as his family cheers

AFTER celebrating winning silver at yesterday’s Olympics in the men’s 10m synchronised diving event, Plymouth-born Tom Daley has hinted he might be tempted to compete in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, where he now lives with his husband and children.

Tom, 30, and his diving partner Noah Williams put in a superb performance in Paris yesterday to clinch the silver medal, as his proud family watched him, cheering in the stands.

Tom’s husband, American screenwriter and director Dustin Lance Black, was there, along with their children Robbie and Phoenix Rose, and Tom’s mother Debbie Daley.

Tom’s children were spotted wearing a t-shirt that had ‘Team Daley’ on the front, with the 30-year-old diver’s face and ‘That’s my papa’ written on the back.

In the opening rounds of yesterday’s event, Tom and Noah were joint-second with Canada, and a strong third dive saw them take a 4.8-point lead over the Canadian duo Rylan Wiens and Nathan Zsombor-Murray.

The British pair continued to maintain second place throughout the competition and finished with 463.44 points overall, 26.91 points behind gold medallists China, while Canada took bronze.
