A NEW vegan restaurant is about to open in Plymouth after starting life in the pannier market - and it hopes to attract more people to a meat-free and dairy-free diet.
The Vegan Patch Bistro Ltd will start serving in the Mutley Plain unit which was once a Costa.
The business is the brainchild of chef Ash Hough, who opened the Vegan Lunch Co in Plymouth Market a year ago. He's now widening his vision with a full restaurant and has applied for a licence to open every day of the week.
The Veg Patch Bistro plans to open from 9am to 10pm and to 11pm on Saturday and Sunday. It will also sell alcohol alongside the plant-based dishes with a much extended menu coming when the restaurant opens.
