
Four weather warnings for ice were in place for today after a week in which the country was hit by snow blasts, travel chaos and temperatures as low as -13C. Milder air will begin pushing its way into the UK from the South West today, signifying the beginning of the end of the cold snap.
Two yellow warnings for ice will be in place in Wales, Northern Ireland and England's east coast until 10am today, with wintry showers expected to cause icy patches and travel disruption.
