DURING the financial year 2023-24, Andhra Pradesh had a revenue deficit of ₹38,683 crore.
₹38.7K crore revenue deficit in AP: CAG

The target (ratio in GSDP) was 3% or less and the state achieved 2.68%. However, the fiscal deficit was ₹62,720 crore against the target of 4% or less. The state recorded 4.35%.

This was revealed in the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) report, deemed to have been tabled in the AP State Legislative Assembly on Wednesday.
