COMMUTERS on city roads on Friday morning were slowed to a halt after moderate to heavy rains lashed parts of the national capital and adjoining areas leading to severe water logging in several parts of the city, paralysing traffic.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an 'yellow' alert for the city while predicting that downpours will continue in the national capital till July 28.
Earlier in the day, the weather department alerted city residents about a spell of intense rain as a "cloud mass” was expected to pass over Delhi.
