"The L-G has the power to nominate members to the Delhi Municipal Corporation, and this is a statutory power and not an executive power.
Hence, the L-G can act as per his discretion and not as per the aid and advice of the Delhi government," the threejudge bench, led by CJI DY Chandrachud, said.
This order means that the LG is free to nominate the 10 aldermen to the civic body.
