It is reported that land associated with more than 15 tanks in Ameenpur has been occupied. Despite these areas falling under the supervision of junior, assistant, deputy, executive and superintending engineers from the Irrigation department, no action or inspection was carried out. The officials failed to monitor the buffer zones and full tank levels (FTL) of these water bodies, allowing encroachers to alter their boundaries without any resistance, sources said.
