OUTSIDE the usual fanzone inside the playing venue for the ongoing chess World Championship, there was an unmistakable buzz. Ten chess boards were neatly arranged with all the pieces in place. The notice stuck outside the room was easy to miss but the buzz made sense after you scanned the small notice stuck on an A4 paper. Boris Gelfand, who faced off against Viswanathan Anand in the Championship match in 2012, was about to take part in a 10-game simultaneous exhibition.
