It demonstrates yet again that Keralites unite above politics and religion during hours of crises.
Apart from Army, Navy, NDRF, Coast Guard, Police, Fire Force and civil service volunteers, many social service organisations such as SYS (Sunni Yuvajana Samgam), SKSSF (Samastha Kerala Sunni Students Federation), Youth Care, DYFI (Democratic Youth Federation of India) and Seva Bharati have brought more than 1,000 volunteers from neighbouring districts, who wade through mounds of slush in search of life. No one shows animosity or hostility based on faith or political ideology.
