Jaishankar Calls Out 'Double Standard' Of West On Kashmir
The New Indian Express Anantapur
|March 19, 2025
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday criticised the West's double standards on the Kashmir issue, pointing out that what was originally seen as an "invasion" had been reframed as a "dispute."
He also underlined the need for a "strong and fair" United Nations.
He highlighted the contrasting narratives-- when the West intervenes in other countries, it is framed as a pursuit of democratic freedoms, while when other nations engage with the West, it is viewed as having a "malign intention."
