Confirming his visit to Karnataka, the Chief Representative Officer (CRO), South Zone, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) Jigme Tsultrim said that "His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be arriving in Bengaluru on January 4 and will stay for a day before leaving for Bylakuppe, where he is scheduled to stay for a month".
The Dalai Lama last visited Karnataka in 2017. Bylakuppe is the second largest Tibetan settlement in the world after Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh, which is also the headquarters of the Tibetan government-in-exile.
