Fresh fissures in Gujarat BJP over unveiling plaque
The New Indian Express Bhubaneswar|December 25, 2024
IT took a name plaque to expose fissures in Gujarat BJP. Party workers fixed it to a wall at the newly inaugurated Vadodara city office of BJP after state party chief CR Patil unveiled it.

Within 24 hours, Patil ordered it removed to nip an internal rebellion in the bud.

The issue was that the plaque carried the names of the top leaders of the state government and the party, leaving out MPs, MLAs, party in-charges and the city mayor.

A vastu puja ceremony at the new office, Namo Kamalam, also caused a row.
