KALLUR Balan, the tireless environmental activist who dedicated his entire life to nurturing nature, passed away at Palakkad district hospital following heart-related complications. The 76-year-old's demise marks the end of an extraordinary life devoted to reforestation, wildlife care, and environmental preservation.
Relatives said Balan felt uneasiness in the early hours of Monday and was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead. His last rites will be performed on the premises of his house at Kallurmucheri on Tuesday afternoon.
