AS part of the Makara Sankranti celebrations, Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Programme (SKDRDP) will organise cleanliness drives in 16,902 worship places across the state from January 7 to 13.
These efforts will be carried out by self-help groups, volunteers and other participants.
A press release from SKDRDP said a clean religious environment helps bring mental peace and tranquility to devotees. By promoting cleanliness at places of worship, the initiative seeks to inspire awareness about hygiene in households across the state.
Under the banner 'Our Step Towards Cleanliness', the campaign, which draws inspiration from Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade and Hemavathi V Heggade, aims to foster a deeper sense of cleanliness.
