According to a statement, the SETC and TNSTC will operate 325 special buses from Chennai Kilambakkam to destinations including Tiruvannamalai, Tiruchy, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Kanniyakumari, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, and Tiruppur on Friday, and 280 buses on Saturday. Additionally, 81 buses will run from CMBT to Tiruvannamalai, Nagapattinam, Velankanni, Hosur, and Bengaluru on December 20 and 21.Around 20 buses will also be operated from Madhavaram bus terminus to various parts of the state on Friday and Saturday. Special buses for the return journey will be arranged based on demand.As of now, 13,864 commuters have reserved tickets online for travel on Friday, 11,642 for Saturday, and 9,063 for Sunday. Passengers are encouraged to book tickets in advance through www.tnstc.in to avoid last-minute rush, the statement added.
