AN unmanned fishing raft, possibly from Myanmar, washed ashore near Vedaranyam in Nagapattinam on Wednesday. This is the third such instance in the past one month here.
It ran aground at Vettaikaraniruppu in Thalanaiyar block in the early hours. The partially damaged raft was made of bamboo logs and had a tattered shed. It was about 30 feet in length, 15 ft in width and 8 ft in height.
