BRS working prez could pursue other remedies under law, says court
- T G NAIDU @Hyderabad

THE Supreme Court on Wednesday declined to entertain a plea filed by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president and former Telangana minister K.T. Rama Rao, challenging the FIR registered against him by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).

The FIR accuses him of misappropriating funds in connection with the organisation of Formula E races in Hyderabad.

The Apex Court bench, comprising Justice Bela M. Trivedi and Justice Prasanna B. Varale, upheld the Telangana High Court's dismissal of KTR's quash petition.

The Supreme Court refused to intervene, stating it was not inclined to interfere with the high court's decision.

With no other recourse, KTR's counsel chose to withdraw the petition.
