- Mukesh Ranjan @ New Delhi

INDIA and Bangladesh will hold a four-day director general (DG)-level talks here beginning February 16 with border fencing and rise in infiltration attempts being major subjects of discussion, officials said on Wednesday.

The delegation-level meeting led by the Border Security Force DG and chief of Border Guard Bangladesh is taking place for the first time after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government on August 5, 2024, the officials said, noting that earlier the dates for such talks were twice postponed last year.

The meeting between the two sides will be held between February 16 and 19 as part of the 55th edition of these biannual talks and the agenda has been worked upon, officials said.
