All children should be administered deworming pills in district: Tahsildar

TAHSILDAR KH Nagaraj said that all the children and teenagers between 1 to 19 years of Chitradurga taluk should be administered the deworming pills without fail and make the programme successful, so that children and teenagers will be healthy.

Speaking after presiding over the Taluk Steering Committee meeting of the National Deworming Programme at the Taluk Office in the city, he said, education, women and child welfare, Rural Development Panchayat Raj Department have to work in a coordinated manner to achieve cent percent deworming. Taluk Health Officer Dr BV Girish said that today (December 9), the deworming pill will be administered to children in all Anganwadi centres and schools and government hospitals across the taluk. Parents should ensure that their children do not fail to attend school, Anganwadi on these days. A final round will be conducted on December 16 for those children who miss that day due to some reasons. He said that after visiting the house, all the children who missed will be administered the pills.
