MP B Y Raghavendra on Wednesday raised the issue of rehabilitation of the Sharavathi Hydro Electric Power Project affected people in the Parliament and demanded that the Centre provide all necessary support for the state government.
He said that the state has approached the Supreme Court to provide permission for de-reservation of forest lands to help resolve the problems faced by the farmers affected by the project and to address the issue pertaining to land rights of the affected.
