Op ceased due to lack of agents to manage ticket counter; trains will no longer stop at the station impacting 9 trains that served the halt
SHYAM P V @Palakkad

THE PALAPPURAM Halt railway station, a long-standing transit facility in Ottapalam, ceased operations as of January 1, following a lack of agents to manage its ticket counter.

A notice regarding the closure was recently posted at the station, marking the end of an era for the community reliant on its services.

The station's closure means that trains will no longer stop at Palappuram, impacting nine trains that previously served the halt. Passengers who once depended on this station will now have to travel to Ottapalam for their train journeys.
