The move came after a a governing body meeting.

On September 21, the medics had rejoined duties partially after a 42-day protest.

The junior doctors placed a 10-point demand, including tightening of security in hospitals and a mechanism to monitor vacants beds. They threatened to intensify their stir if their demands are not met.

The junior doctors claimed that they were not happy with the CBI probe and demanded immediate arrest of all the culprits in the August 9 rape-murder of a medic at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
